Tunk-Ka Cafe in Phuket Town

The view to this restaurant was amazing! The drinks were also really good. However, we did have trouble communicating to the waiters in English which resulted in confusion over the vegetarian options and extremely spicy food. Be careful to request less spice if you are also sensitive to spices!

Food was pretty good, reasonably priced considering you're paying for the view. The views were brilliant.

Great view. Staff was very nice and they spoke and understood English which always helps us Americans. Had a huge meal and it was fairly priced. Highly suggested for a romantic, quiet night.

Overseeing the city with a cool breeze and amazing food. Price was comparable; even a little cheaper to the touristy food at Patong. Service was great. Even thelocals flock to it so you know it's legit. Would fly back to Phuket just for the food here.

I have visited this place a few times in the last 10 years. The view is still great but the food and service have gone downhill. The menu is printed on wooden board. One of ours was infested by termites, some of them were biting my finger before I realized it! Yuck. The waitress seemed completely unfazed when called for a replacement board. Service did not improve afterwards. As for the food, the quality and quantity have dropped. Tourist trap.

So nice view restaurant also foods are so tasty. I strongly recommend here. Just order one beverage you can see sunset here. Price is ok here.

We were taken to the restaurant as a stop off on a tour to try some traditional Thai cuisine and we were blown away by how amazing this place was. We had some of the most amazing local foods whilst over looking some stunning views of Thailand and it's coast

Really nice place with beautiful landscape view, peaceful and romantic atmospere. Food was fine, I ordered noodle, but honestly I expected something more. Maybe it was wrong choice. On the other hand the plate with red curry was perfect and preety hot :) You will not get alcohol before 5 PM. Take a walk arround but be aware of rude monkey.

Except the view the rest are disappointed especially service from waitress. Bring menu books with wood bugs don't say sorry or anything, bring wrong drink no sorry and act to me like it’s not her mistake, I used to go there a lot when I was living in Phuket, I remember the service was better. Please fix this issue.

Great view at the top of Rang Hill! Food was a hit for us too. It's slightly pricey but the location and service commands the price. You will be able to spot the Big Buddha and other famous beaches atop this viewpoint. It is possible to walk up from the base after alighting from a Pink bus but the journey up is arduous.

The quality of food is great, nice view is a plus. It's a must to go and try with your own tongue and see with your own eyes.

The place was not hard to find although its location in Google map wasn't exact. Their food was delicious especially their curry dish despite it being spicy. We only had a hard time communicating with the staff about getting house/tap/service water as to avoid buying a bottled water.

Cheap, very good food (trust the waiters if they are telling you the dish you are ordering it's not for tourists). Better to go there with a local as the access by the road can be complicated if you don't know the area. Good view on the city but... that's only Phuket Town.

Great view, great city light view and natural wind breeze. Atmosphere is very warm and vibrant. Food is spicy, delicious and full of local thai flavors. Recommended spot for families and couple to dine.

Would strongly suggest not ordering the Salted Fish Fried Rice. Almost 30% of the dish was pure leafy vegetable. Found it very difficult to eat and spent ages pulling out each piece. Also had the stir fried chicken which was pretty good.Getting to the place was a bit of trek and we had to call them for directions. Google Maps you right in front of the stair case with no parking so call them to help guide you.

Amazing location and cafe. A bit pricey though. Service was ok but no more. A lot of tables with the best views were already reserved in the afternoon even though only needed in the evening.

Beautiful views. The bathrooms were clean. Free wifi . Cash only. They has over 8 servers but the service wasn't that great despite how slow it was in the restaurant when we camw. I had to always flag down a waiter just to get a menu or any order when the servers were standing and not doing anything. Food was great. We got the pineapple fried rice and chicken satay.

I loved the location of the cafe. You can enjoy the natural view while having some delicious food. Wanted to have authentic thai food in Phuket and we chose the right place!

Here is a nice place on Phuket, don't meet when you come.

The food is great and the scenery is fabulous. However, it is not easy to have a meal at the place with a personal vehicle. If you rent a car or own it, I suggest to visit the cafe at night and have a wonderful dinner. The price of the meal might be a little bit costly but the view is good enough to compensate the price.

We have been coming here for over 10 years and the quality of food has not decreased. In fact, they have expanded the restaurant and traffic has increased. Worth the visit, food and view.

How anyone can say this food is good, is frankly astonishing. The food was terrible, the service was worse. We ordered satay fish, squid in their special sauce and crab fried rice. The squid was over cooked and rubbery, also suprisingly COLD. The rice was worse than any rice I've had, had zero authenticity - I've had better fried rice in Canberra. CANBERRA for God's sake. The satay wasn't even cooked, as in they forgot to order it and then the kitchen closed. This place survives on the view alone. Go to the observation deck (free) and leave this place behind. Absolutely atrocious.

Good food, reasonable price... and fastastic view of Phuket city at night! Definitely a must.
